After months of not writing music, written & recorded in just two days, "Find The Head" is a declaration of love to Blues & Rock with dirty sounds and lyrics that go from love, sadness & love for music & jamming ("Funky Mother") to just pure nonsense (the title track and "Star Lane Rock 'n' Roll" are very clear examples of that!).....Made fast, to be enjoyed even faster......!!!
My favourite ones here are "Little Onions" and "Sadness Every Day". Enjoy responsively and don't loose your head....(BTW! The cover art and video for "Find The Head" was inspired by the "headless band" pictures from my good friend David Mery!)

And back to the funk spirit of "The Trip" in this one!!! Sadly, I couldn't find any time to join any of my loved collaborators so, being a solo effort, "Funk United" represents my love for the funk genre although all drumming here is programmed.......This one is really a concept album: aliens come to Earth and study our ill approach to life and abuse on each other... I always though that if you wish to protest with music you can do that by using any genre and I love doing that with funk as well. I love the title track which I didn't really compose as such (melody was fully improvised) as represents my rendition to the strings arrangements of Clare Fischer (arranger for Prince, Paul McCartney and many more!!!!).
The groove and feel on "Everybody's Gonna Dance" is trying to show my influence from bands like Funkadelic and when I recorded "Like Machines (They Do It)" I thought I was David Bowie, if that makes any sense!!!

A wintery album, which I wrote & recorded in probably just two weeks (although a couple of tracks already existed in different demos) while hiding at home from the snow...
Again this one is highly influenced by Alex's master songwriting and Michael's beautiful phrasing and improvising and also represents the way I used to record when I was 16, just with my old piano unaware of things such as computers, sound engineers and recording studios!!!!
"Winter Song" is a clear rendition to one of my favourite tunes : "Sometimes It Snows In April" by Prince & The Revolution and it's probably my favourite recording here along with "She's Lonely".

"Birds" is an album that I developed as a "collection of songs" without any particular concept behind the project so each tune could be representing an individual bird that flies in the direction that it wants to...It also represents what I was learning alongside "The Interpreters" (that is the great musicians and friends Alex Smith & Michael Rodwell) teaching me the importance of less is more and the love for music without prejudice. Alex himself plays a few guitars and I am again lucky to have Mr Gancedo on drums for a couple of my favourites here ("Eyes On Me" & "Listen").
The final track "Mysterious Times" was meant to be a piano track or even a reggae back then but when Alex recorded this version for me I decided....."ok then, it's your song now!"
I am so glad that both Michael & Alex are still flying by my side......

"The Magic Time" almost didn't happen as my main hard drive died along with all the songs ready to go......but one great person and friend, Patricia Correia (Poet & Lyricist), saved the project by giving me an external h.d. as a present (just a few days before the disaster!) where a safe copy would be used. She also saved the project by writing powerful and beautiful words to "Ondas" which represents what the album is about. I also feel very proud of what WE (Enda, Ify, Fernanda, Andres, Patri on the posters...) did with "Speedy Girl", a fans favourite (so they say....).
My favourite songs are "The Magic Time", "Glad" and "Love Symphony".......and yours?

A psychedelic - funk adventure "The Trip" represents a mixture of the songs that I wrote in Spain before moving to the UK with my discovery of music production in England and the start of very exciting collaborations with the likes of Chus Gancedo (Drums); John Honk (Keys on the bonus track "Let's Jam" written & recorded in just two hours!); Fernanda Balata, Francesca Guarino & Alejandra Bedale (Vocals); Nahmi Moon (Keys); Ed "Dr" Watson (Bass); Andres Razzini (Guitar) & James Day (Trumpet). I really enjoyed recording "You Make Me Beautiful" & "We Both Know" live; this two songs mean a lot to me.
I think we all enjoyed playing this collection live around London during 2007/2008.......many thanks to all!!!
